Ampara Heritage or Heritage of Ancient Digamadulla is a project initiated in 2009 in Ampara by a group of like minded people. The common quality was that they all loved this ancient city of Ampara. However, occupation-wise and age-wise they were highly diverse. Most of them worked at Ampara at that time. Some of them are from Ampara, but others are from all corners of the island.

• Dr. Mahesh Rajasuriya – Then Consultant Psychiatrist at General Hospital of Ampara and now Consultant Psychiatrists at National Hospital of Sri Lanka and Senior Lecturer at University of Colombo
