Base hospitals—Provide basic specialist and other essential and emergency services.
District hospitals—Provide essential and emergency services.
Rural Hospital– Provide basic inpatient and outpatient services and are usually staffed by one to three doctors.
All these hospitals have facilities to transport patients needing specialized care to larger hospitals.
Private hospitals-Provide basic specialist and other essential and emergency services. They also provide outpatient consultation services by medical specialists.
Private General Practices—Provide primary medical care and are widely available. Most of these practices are run by public sector doctors in their off duty hours.
Pharmacies-All public sector hospitals have their own free pharmacies, which dispense medications prescribed at the hospital. There are many privately run pharmacies in the area.
